"It is more fun to talk with someone who doesn't use long, difficult words but rather short, easy words like "What about lunch?"”

On Friday night I got in after having a casual catch up with Erica and her sisters and I wasn't feeling that great. I've been having pesky issues with my right ovary...yet again. So feeling groggy and tired we decided to stay in for the night. I took the opportunity to get a head start on making some Birthday Cupcakes for my friend Brooke. We had planned to go in to town the next day to go ice-skating and we could drop them off before hand to save me lugging them up to Uni on Wednesday (and so that Brooke wouldn't have to Scooter home with them). I quartered the recipes and got to work.Yeah so you can tell that the piping gets worse as it goes on (you can blame my hormones for that too)

I jumped on Pinterest for some Pinspiration and this is how I intended to box 'em up...

OK...so mine isn't as pretty as this, but I think I did alright for a first attempt*. What do you think?

Today is Brooke's Birthday and it's just as well we did the delivery on Saturday as Sunday was a write-off, yesterday I had more tests and today isn't so jolly either.

Happy Birthday Brooke! I am so thankful to have a friend at uni that is in most of my classes. It is so helpful having a friendly face to turn to when you need clarification, or to bounce ideas off of. This past year at uni has been one of the most fun yet and I truly believe that it has a lot to do with your beautiful, smiley presence. It is so refreshing to have someone to discuss things with without all the pomp and pretentiousness that you can come across at uni. Whether you're falling up stairs, arranging a lunch date, butchering words like 'mimicry' or emailing me your essay to look over - it is awesome having you around. Have a lovely day and superb Birthday week! X

*My only regret is being to tired to remember to use two different coloured papers for the chocolate cupcakes. Darn!
